Wood/Mellon Wedding

July 2012
I had the pleasure to marry Nick Wood and Ashley Mellon in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Spokane, Washington. It was a joy to create the ceremony for this young couple, as their love story was quite sweet. The bride did not have a wedding planner, so I coordinated the rehearsal and the procession on the day of the wedding.  Even though the couple requested a minimal amount of religion in the ceremony, the Mother of the Bride expressed disappointment to me about this a few months before the wedding.  She wanted the couple to be married in a "traditional church ceremony" and I assured her that even though the wedding would not be held in a church, the ceremony itself would contain a lot of tradition.  With the Bride & Grooms approval, I led a simple prayer and a blessing at the beginning of the ceremony. In the end, everyone was extremely happy with the ceremony... even Mom.

From Mr. & Mrs. Wood: "We just want to thank you for making our wedding day so perfect! We have not stopped receiving compliments on the ceremony!"

From Father of the Bride: "Thank you so much for making Nick and Ashley's wedding so perfect.  You did a good job and we loved the ceremony very much."

Henderson/Edge Wedding

June 2012
I had the honor of performing a wedding ceremony at the Northshore Performing Arts Center, for Rob Henderson and Diana Edge. The ceremony immediately followed a Theatre production written and produced by Diana herself and it may very well be, the most unique wedding I will ever be involved in!  The production was a "story" about the bride and groom during their high school years at Bothell High, acted out by past and present drama students of Diana Edge. The story followed Rob & Diana's separate lives up to the present day, when they walked out onto the stage dressed for a wedding, to the song, "Marry Me."  I ended up on a podium that was set up in front of the stage, below the bride and groom, so as not to take the spotlight off of them.  The first part of the ceremony, I faced the audience of about 300 guests for the greeting and address, then turned to conduct the ceremony with the bride and groom, my back to the audience.  It was completely different than the usual Alter set up, but  it was proof positive that I'll do just about anything to accommodate my wedding couples.  And I loved it! Not only was it an amazing love story, but the production in and of itself was incredible.

From Mr. & Mrs. Henderson: "Thank you for a fabulous ceremony.  This is your gift and we were blessed to have such a giving, talented soul marry us.  Thank you! :) "

Paulson/Valencia Wedding

May 2012:
May of this year, I had the opportunity to travel to Sedona, Arizona to perform a beautiful outdoor wedding.  It was a small, intimate ceremony for family and friends, with the beautiful backdrop of the Sedona mountains.  What an honor it was to create and perform a very special ceremony for this precious Bride and Groom. The Bride has a four year old son from "another life" and we wanted to include him in the ceremony.  I suggested doing a Sand Ceremony during the wedding and allow the son to pour his and his baby sister's sand into the vessel after the Bride and Groom poured theirs.  He loved pouring the sand and it made him feel like an important part of the wedding ceremony.

From Mr. & Mrs. Paulson: "Thank you so much for giving us exactly what we wanted for our wedding ceremony.  It was intimate and personal and we could not ask for a single thing more. You helped make our wedding day perfect."

From Mother of the Bride:  "I wanted to tell you that you did a beautiful job on Katie and Brian's ceremony.  I loved how personal you made it!"
